How we handle your information

Breakroom stories

• What appears publicly: your story’s title, text and category, and its votes. Your name or nickname and city appear only if you chose “Show my name or nickname on the board”. Otherwise the story shows as Anonymous.
• What stays private: the name, city and email you typed (if any), your identity choice, and the date and wording of the permission you gave. These are never shown on the site.
• Who can see private details: only the Grindline Audio team, to review stories and contact you if yours is selected.
• How we may use a story: as inspiration for songs, lyrics, videos or other creative work, possibly edited or anonymised. Submitting does not guarantee use. We will ask you before publishing any credit with your name.
• Moderation: anyone can report a story. Stories with several reports are hidden automatically, and the team removes anything with confidential information, private details about other people, harassment or allegations about identifiable people.
• Removing your story: email hello@grindlineaudio.com with the story title and roughly when you posted it, and we will delete it and its private record.
• Where it is stored: in a secure database run by Upstash, on servers in the United States.
